Its fifth and final class, the Necromancer, was also revealed during the Xbox Bethesda Game Showcase. What developer Blizzard Entertainment has confirmed is that Diablo 4 will be cross-play and cross-platform between Xbox, PlayStation 4 and 5, and PC. Fans therefore may have to wait years for more Diablo 4 if it follows a similar route but, as mentioned, there's currently no confirmation if it will. The previous mainline game, Diablo 3, was released in 2012 and received two story expansions: Reaper of Souls in 2014 and Rise of the Necromancer in 2017. It's unclear how many DLC packs will be released for Diablo 4, nor how frequently they will arrive after the game is launched in 2023, but Fergusson promised that more details would be coming soon.
